Window Display:
Photography Through the Century
The department head of photography at my community college commissioned me for a display showing “Photography Through the Century.” Each cabinet holds one iconic 20th-century photograph and frames the entire composition. I tinted and scored acrylic sheets to show light and movement, and arranged a curved collage of photos emerging from a camera tripod for visual interest. The black tripod and the two mounted cameras are the focal point of the display while the stringed photographs in the back simulate photo development in a black room. This display was shown in the main hall of the Liberal Arts building at Orange Coast College.
